This is one of the most common and major knee ligament injuries, usually occurring when a ligament is torn during a sudden twisting motion with the knee in hyperextension.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-2c1f10ef elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"2c1f10ef\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Treatment<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-58371020 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"58371020\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Treatment depends on the severity and associated injuries as well as the activity level of the individual.\nA rehabilitation program or surgery may be recommended.<\/p><p class=\" translation-block\">Surgery - the ligament is either reconstructed or repaired with an arthroscopic procedure. It aids in stability for posterior displacement. It is less commonly injured than the ACL and is more difficult to diagnose. Injury is typically caused by force trauma whilst the knee is in flexion. Se puede asociar tratamiento conservador con infiltraciones intra\u00f3seas de Plasma Rica en Plaquetas\u00a0 (PRP) o C\u00e9lulas Madre Mesenquimales.<\/p><\/li><li><p class=\" translation-block\">Surgery - includes micro-fracture to stimulate protective scar tissue formation and cartilage transplant. They are important for joint stability intervening in proprioception, force transmission and also lubrication of the knee.
